The Listening Club is a small, private social club in Chicago, IL. We foster social connections between members of Chicago’s diverse contemporary music community. We are music lovers and we believe in listening - the act of intentionally hearing. We create space for the discussion, analysis, and performance of new works of music. We use our club as a platform for creativity in audible forms. We promote principles of artistic expression, experimentation, and collaboration through open communication. Our supportive and collaborative environment promotes fellowship between club members.
Membership in The Listening Club is not a product, a service, or an experience. By joining you agree to become an active participant in the collaborative creation of this space. We have no paid staff, and everyone is asked to contribute. Membership dues help support the existence of the club and all of its activities. As a member you will be invited to attend all of our planned and impromptu events and to participate in creating the club’s events. We are a community, not a group of customers.
