The Listening Club is a registered 501(c)(7) non-profit social club.

Our club formed 2021, rallying around mutual goals that stand in contrast to that of for-profit music venues, clubs, and bars. We created a members-only club for individuals who find value in active participation in an intentional environment. While our focus may be on music, our members appreciate art and camaraderie in all forms!

Our club is run completely by volunteers. Members play an active role in making the club a success; from facilitation and attendance to caring for our neighborhood and space.

Our Mission

The Listening Club is a registered 501(c)(7) not-for-profit corporation. We are a private social club in the State of Illinois.

Everything that happens at TLC is to propel our mission foward:

Foster social connections between members of Chicago’s diverse contemporary music community
Strengthen the bonds of fellowship between club members
Provide a private forum for the discussion, analysis, and performance of new works of music
Promote the principles of artistic expression, experimentation, and collaboration

Becoming A Member

Support our club and mission by becoming a member for $20 per month. There is always something to do, and members are welcome to come hang out whenever the club is open!

Whenever a keyed member opens the club, membership is alerted. Info is shared via email newsletter and posted to our private members Discord server.
